Ayurveda, known as the “knowledge of life,” represents a holistic health system that originated in India over 5000 years ago, often regarded as Yoga’s sister science.

It defines good health as a balance between body, mind, spirit, and social well-being. Ayurveda is a system that conveys its wisdom to nourish both body and mind through food and lifestyle choices.

Understanding Your Unique Ayurvedic Constitution

Ayurveda is grounded in the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and ether (space). There are three main doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) that are a combination of each element.

While we’re all born with all three Doshas, one or two often dominate, shaping your physical, mental, and emotional characteristics. An understanding of your dosha(s) will help you to make the right lifestyle choices that promote good health and happiness on all levels.

Learn How to Live in Harmony with Your Dosha

In this workshop, we delve into the core principles of Ayurveda and its philosophy on healthy living especially as we move through Spring and Summer. You’ll learn your unique Ayurvedic body type (dosha) and its influence on your overall wellbeing.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with practical knowledge and insights you can easily integrate into your daily life.

  • Discover your unique Ayurvedic body type (dosha) and how it influences your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Understand how to make the right diet and lifestyle choices based on your dosha.
  • Learn which foods are best suited for your body type.

About your presenters.

Essential Yoga for Summer

Our journey into Ayurveda began alongside our journey with Yoga and Meditation. The holistic principles of Ayurveda, which emphasise living in accordance with your body type and the seasons, resonated deeply with us.

Ayurveda’s principles on diet and lifestyle felt intuitive to us, and we’ve benefited how easily they can integrate into daily life. We love how Ayurveda seamlessly aligns with its sister science, Yoga. As our interest in Ayurveda grew, so did our desire to delve deeper into this holistic health system.

We both pursued further study into this ancient wisdom, and feel fortunate to have trained with esteemed Ayurveda teacher Dr. David Frawley, attended seminars with Dr. Shaun Matthews in Australia, and experienced Ayurvedic health and wellness treatments (Panchakarma) on visits to India.

Our aim is to combine our studies and personal experience in Ayurveda with over 30 years of combined experience in an authentic system of yoga and meditation. By integrating our experience as classical yoga and meditation teachers, with the wisdom and principles of Ayurveda, we aim to inspire you to live a calmer, happier, and more balanced life, living in harmony with the rhythms of nature.
