Grassroots Yoga classes offer a blend of traditional and modern yoga catering for our busy lifestyles. I found Ram and Mahima to be very friendly and helpful, they both have a thorough knowledge of yoga and are often found in India upgrading their skills!
They deliver guided instruction in a safe and caring environment, what I like most and what makes their classes stand out is the addition of pranayama (breath work) and some form of gentle meditation which leaves you feeling grounded, restored and relaxed . Classes are not only great for beginners but can be as advanced as you care to make , as many alternative poses are given. So basically, a wonderful class for any level or mood you are feeling – totally recommend their classes.
Karen has an amazing ability to bring calmness and serenity to her yoga classes from the moment it starts. She engages and supports you to keep your mind fully focused, creates a trusting environment and ensures she meets the needs of all her students. Love every class and would highly recommend her.
I had a great yoga summer with Ram and Mahima with some fantastic classes in many yoga styles. The wonderful thing here is that everybody, from beginner to advanced can find the right level of practice. Ram and Mahima, you are really great, you made my yoga summer! Thank you very much!
In 2020 I was diagnosed with extended fatigue due to a bout of shingles. In time, I joined Karen’s yoga class, starting with one class a week, then eventually as my strength started to return, three times a week.
Each practice Karen tailored to my condition, along with allowing for other attendees and their needs. Using her thorough knowledge of yoga, she worked on strengthening our key body parts including spine and core muscles.
It was always a pleasure listening to Karen’s warm English accent as she took us through her yoga nidra meditation and mindfulness sessions at the end of the class, ensuring we reaped the rewards a healthy balanced mind and body.
